Some Poems for Kids About Snot and Stuff.

A few weeks ago I posted a set of kid’s poems on the classic themes of baked beans and blowing off (Beans, Beans…). I thought I would follow up this week with some poems about snot and bogies…

Snail Trails

The grossest things I’ve ever seen
Are trails where a snail’s been
I think snails have lost the plot
Most creatures have legs, the snail has not.

Great Scott!

A clumsy young fellow called Scott
Spilled pepper from out of the pot
He sneezed for an hour
Creating a shower
That seasoned his dinner with snot

‘Snot Nice…

britney pickingWhy should it be, do you suppose,
That drivers often pick their nose?

Do they think we can’t see in there?
Do they not know, or just not care?

And even worse they sometimes pick
Then look and take a crafty lick
Do they think we can’t see in there?
Do they not know, or just not care?

It’ll Never Get Better if You Pick It

If you ever get a bogey and the beggar won’t come out
Don’t ever stick a pencil with a rubber up your snout

My brother thought he’d try it then he wished he never had
‘Cos a bogey AND a rubber up your nostril’s twice as bad!

  1. Haha you made me snort with laughter so that all snot came out! I am with you on the drivers and their disgusting habit of picking noses… Some things you just don’t want to see πŸ˜‰

  2. Very funny! I’m a bit bogey-phobic myself. When we moved to our current house I found the previous owner’s son’s snot collection smeared on the wall where his bed had been. Makes me feel a bit sick just thinking about it!
